Red Star Red Army Chorus And Dance Ensemble Performs March 3 at the Historic California Theatre in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO – The prestigious Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble will bring its critically acclaimed international program of song, music and dance to the stage of the California Theatre of the Performing Arts on March 3, 2012.
The show is the latest addition to the 2011-2012 arts season at the California Theatre.

The Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble is made up of 70 singers, dancers and musicians. Led by artistic director and conductor Col. Nikolai Rabovsky, the Moscow-based troupe was originally founded in 1977 by the USSR Strategic Missile Forces to perform concerts primarily for its troops.
The ensemble later began performing at many arts festivals and cities in Russia and, in 1989, began doing foreign tours, with trips to Great Britain, Ireland, France, Switzerland and the United States. They also perform regularly on radio and television.
Over the past 20 years the Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble has given more than 229 performances in American cities with sellout performances in New York, Chicago, Boston and other major cities as well as the White House.
The incomparable Red Star Red Army Chorus & Dance Ensemble will take the audience on a multi-cultural journey of traditional Russian music, folk songs, including “Meadowlands,” “Moscow Nights” and Dark Eyes, and interspersed with wonderful dances of amazing virtuosity.
